Who we are

DDD Detailing ([legal name / sole trader name], [registered or trading address]) is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us at cccdetailinguk@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
• Vehicle details: size, and if you give them, make, model, colour and registration.
• Booking details: the services you choose, the condition you describe, your appointment, any notes you add, and your booking history with us.
• Payment records: amounts paid, dates and references. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Website usage: which pages are viewed and for how long, recorded without cookies and without identifying you.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

• To take and carry out your booking: confirming it, doing the work, invoicing and taking payment. Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.
• To send booking messages: confirmations, a reminder the day before, and a thank-you with a code for next time. Lawful basis: contract and our legitimate interests in running the business well. These are service messages, not marketing.
• To keep accounting records as the law requires. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it. This uses counts with no personal information.

We do not sell your information, and we will only send you marketing if you have agreed to it.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the business, under contracts that protect your data: our website host ([hosting provider, e.g. IONOS]), our email delivery service ([email provider]), and Stripe for card payments. Some of these may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Bookings, invoices and payment records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
• Price requests that don't become bookings: 12 months.
• Website usage counts: kept as totals, with nothing that identifies you.

Cookies and similar technology

The public website doesn't use cookies for tracking or advertising. Your choices on the build page are kept in your browser's session storage so they aren't lost between steps; this is cleared when you close the tab and is needed to provide the booking service you asked for. The owner's login uses one essential cookie.

Maps and journey times. The map in “Where to find us” is provided by Google and only loads if you choose “Show map”; Google may then set cookies and receive your IP address under its own privacy policy. If you use the journey estimate, the postcode you type is sent to postcodes.io (a free UK postcode lookup) to find its approximate location; if you choose “use my current location”, your browser asks your permission first, and your location stays on your device: we don't receive or store it.

Language. If you choose a language from the flag menu, that choice is saved in your browser so the site stays in your language. Nothing else is stored.

Fonts. Our fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

Your rights

You have the right to access your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email cccdetailinguk@gmail.com and we'll respond within one month. Some information we must keep for legal reasons, and we'll explain if so.
